[凪 -nagi- / vegetable knife]
The YEBISU YAIBA Nagi series knives are inspired by the calm sea, with a hammered finish on the top of the steel and a Damascus laminated pattern on the bottom.
As the name suggests, a nakiri knife is a traditional Japanese knife that is suitable for cutting vegetables. It is suitable for cutting vegetables with a loud "chop! chop!" sound, as well as for chopping on the cutting board with a "thump, thump, thump..." sound. It is also used for special cutting methods such as "Katsura peeling."
